2. What does the name SMART stand for?

3. Are you certified for quality?

Yes, we operate under a fully certified management system by Eurocert. Our certifications include ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environment), ISO 45001 (Health & Safety), ISO 50001 (Energy), and ISO 37001 (Anti-Bribery).

4.Do you perform energy upgrades?

Absolutely. We are an officially registered ESCO (Energy Services Company). We have completed landmark projects such as the energy upgrade of the Technical University of Crete (€1.77M), the Souda Nautical Center, and Hellenic Police buildings in Chania.

5. Do you work for the U.S. Government or NATO?

Yes, Smart Construction has an active SAM (System for Award Management) registration and extensive experience in mission-critical environments. We have delivered major works at the U.S. Naval Support Activity (NSA) Souda Bay, including the NCTAMS LANT telecommunications building ($37M) and the Fire Station (Bldg 93) renovation.

We manage everything: design, permits, and construction. You receive the building ready for use, completely stress-free.

9. Do you renovate old buildings?

Yes, we specialize in structural restoration and renovations, with notable projects in Chania Old Town and Nea Chora.

10. How do you prevent budget overruns?

Through detailed Quantity Surveying and Cost Analysis before we start. You know the exact cost upfront, with no hidden fees.

11. What are the benefits of "Green" construction?

Lower utility bills and higher property value. As USGBC members, we design buildings that are energy-efficient and sustainable.

12. Do you take projects outside of Chania?

Our base is Chania, but we operate across the entire island of Crete (Kissamos, Souda, Kounoupidiana, etc.

13. How do you ensure material quality?

Through strict ISO 9001:2015 protocols and daily on-site supervision by our team of 7 engineers and 10 foremen.
