Smart Construction S.A., a trusted construction company based in Chania, Crete, successfully completed the construction and site preparation works for the Royal Air Force deployment in Bravo Yard at the U.S. Naval Support Activity (NSA) Souda Bay. Awarded in May 2016 and completed in June 2016, this fast-tracked defense infrastructure project was delivered in just one month, demonstrating Smart Con’s ability to mobilize rapidly and execute high-quality construction works under the demanding conditions and strict security protocols of an active international military installation.
The project involved building construction and site preparation works designed to support the temporary accommodation and operational requirements of Royal Air Force personnel deployed at NSA Souda Bay. Works were carried out in full compliance with US Navy base regulations and NATO infrastructure standards, ensuring seamless integration with the existing facility environment and full readiness for RAF operations from day one.
